A Very Special Mother's Day

This is the first Mother's Day I have spent with both our children in years and years - it's been so long in fact that we can't even remember when.......

It has been a very special weekend - Josh met his nephew for the first time, Blake celebrated her very first Mother's Day and I had celebrated Mother's Day with both my kids - life doesn't get much better (although it would have been perfect if John was able to be here too).

Friday - Blake & I had Josh all to ourselves as Jonno had an overnighter in Auckland

Saturday - friends Melon and Toni spent the day and stayed overnight. We ate at a little Italian Restaurant in Mount Manganui andJosh & Toni certainly kept us entertained.........

Sunday - we drove to Hamilton and had a lovely Mother's Day lunch with Jonno's parents Ann & Bernie

Monday - had to farewell Josh - we would have loved him to stay longer but his business apparently needed him more than us........

Blake was really spoilt with the gift of a wii and we've been having lots of fun with that over the last couple of days! (the cookbook was a joke gift from Jonno as everyone knows that they only have a kitchen 'cos it came with the house!!)






















I was very spoilt as well - Blake pampered me with a trip to the hairdresser where I had the works and came out looking just gorgeous! Josh gave me some lovely products and a bag from The Body Shop so I did extremely well - thanks guys. Blake also gave me some lotto tickets so when I check the results I'll let y'all know about my winnings........



At Ann & Bernie's property we were lucky enough to see a little hedgehog - they are nocturnal mammals so not often spotted wandering around the garden during the day. Bernie mastered the timer on the camera and we all smiled on the count of three........
