My feet haven’t hit the ground since returning.......

Hooley dooley I’m certainly back into the swing of life in Houston. How's this for an activity or two in just 2 weeks after arriving home from NZ on 20th May -

24th May

LMP Supper Club at the Field of Greens

25th May

An evening with Marian Bell, a Healthy Lifestyle Coach, at the Path of Tea – she shared some very useful health strategies with us however we did differ a little when it came to healthy eating (we all have our own beliefs)

26th May

Mediation evening with Master Charles Cannon (the smell of incense filled my nostrils, stung my eyes and blurred my meditation attempts - mmmmm…….)

27th May

Mr Val Logan, (coaching, counseling and communication work incorporating all things Law of Attraction) spoke at the Path of Tea – another interesting evening just reinforcing that you get what you think about.........

1st June

Dr. Brian Clement, the Director of Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida, spoke at the Taft St Coffee Café. This was an exceptional evening ofthought provoking information and essentially saying natural, unprocessed food is the body's best medicine - although he did blow a hole in a lot of our eating habits particularly suggesting we eliminate most fruit – hooley dooley, what would we eat! Of course recognizing contrast is a good thing…..

2nd June
Diane’s 60th birthday. Diane, Candace, Pat & I enjoyed lunch at The Grove Restaurant in Discovery Green. A great celebration with 3 wonderful friends

(l-r me, Candace, Pat, Diane)

3rd June

We had the privilege of watching “Running America” – a movie about two runners who set off on Sept 13th 2008 on a 3063 mile across America from San Francisco to New York. An exceptionally inspirational experience for us and the runner who finished this mammoth feat was Marshall Ulrich, with the amazing support of his wife Heather (not sure if the movie was about the event or a love story!) At the conclusion of the movie we were surprised with the appearance of Marshall & Heather and they stood on stage and answered questions for the next 30 minutes. An amazing evening and certainly one I will reflect upon when I’m walking my next marathon, particularly when my feet are hurting and I think I can't go on………

This is just a list of events we attended – it doesn’t include other activities such as yoga, walking with Houston Fit, swimming, sifting through mail and emails and all those other everyday things that I have escaped for the past 3 months and spending time catching up with friends, particularly Anna, Jackie & Nancy. Of course we also celebrated Josh's birthday on the 30th May - happy birthday Josh! It’s great to be back into it, although I still yearn to be over in NZ with Blake and little Jesse - thank goodness for technology and Skype and cam cameras because I get to talk and see Blake Verity and Jesse Loftus many times every week.
