Lydia invited us to speak at a small get together at Ruggles Restaurant on Friday night to talk about how we came to be here in the US and some of the things we have experienced. This is the invite sent out - "
Dinner and Inspiration Friday - Get Inspired with Julie and John Loftus ( Our Aussie Friends from Down Under) I recently spoke to Julie and John, our Aussie LOA friends, while on their recent travels and they had so much excitement and enthusiasm for their many law of attraction experiences that I asked them for an evening where we could hear their stories and be inspired over dinner." We were expecting a few people however there was a group of 35! We spoke for about an hour and then stayed behind and answered questions for another hour. (We had to leave 'cos it was marathon weekend and an early night was definitely part of our training program) It was a wonderful night mixing with so many like-minded people and we were so inspired by their enthusiasm and appreciation for life. We definitely came away with lots of ideas for our future direction.....
Discovery Green - Saturday 10th Jan 09
We rugged up and went down to Discovery Green to look at their new ice skating rink and also the ice sculpture competition happening that day. We almost forgot it is winter here as the last few days have been very warm, sunny & quite humid, however today the temperature has dropped dramatically and is in the single digits (Celsius) - which of course if great for us as the marathon is only 1 sleep away and cold is much better for walking than the usual hot humid Houston weather. The ice sculptures were sensational - so much work and then they just melt away.......
