Gundermann Farm

Dec 14th

We had a wonderful day out at a farm about 50 miles out of Houston. Gundermann farm is a family business and they grow over 100 varieties of organic vegetables – how refreshing to see so much organic produce being grown in one place - quite mouthwatering in fact.

We were taken on a hayride around the property, watched a raw food demonstration given by our friends Pat and Nancy and were intrigued with a woman explaining the ins and outs of bees and honey. She showed us the extraction process of honey from the honeycomb – very interesting.

All in all a great day particularly as we took the back roads home to Houston and saw some really itty bitty country towns (actually think I’ve seen them before in some movies!)
