Summer views from our apartment, Banking US style, Farmer's Market

The outlook from our apartment is so different in the summer - the tree foliage is extremely dense - in fact when we sit in our window seat it feels like we are looking into a jungle. We can barely see the Bayou that runs along in front of our apartment. (Most of the greenery is deciduous so the winter view is quite different). We start each day sitting in this beautiful place eating breakfast - it is extemely tranquil and quite meditative - although there is also a lot happening and the more we look, the more we see. Many, many birds nest in these trees, there are squirrels and rabbits and it's just a great place to sit and relax. Quite of few of the wildlife also visit us regularly on our balcony which we love and often leave them food scraps and seeds.

The other day we experienced our first drive through banking. We had one cheque to deposit and it was a great learning venture - watching our little cheque being sucked up through the chute and then the receipt being spat back down to us - it was such fun!!!! (We really should get out more don't you think!)

One of our favourite places to vist is the local farmer's market and today we dropped in on our good friend Pat Greer who makes the best organic 'raw' food products - we love eating her goodies! Thank Pat.
