NZ - Week 3

Before leaving Lake Taupo we visited the Huka Falls - the force of the water is tremendous and so powerful and the colour of the water is such a beautful blue - an amazing sight.

Our next stop was the Glowworm Caves at Waitomo. Another awesome experience with thousands of tiny creatures radiating their luminescent light throughout the cavern. We travelled through the caves in a boat and were just mesmerised by the glowworms.

From there we stopped at Ann & Bernie's property just outside Hamilton for a quick visit and were able to see where Jonno grew up. It is a wonderful place with chooks, a huge garden and vegetable garden and we came away with quite a haul of fresh vegies.

The rest of the week seemed to fly by and before we knew it our holiday was over and we were saying our farewells. It's always hard to say goodbye and doesn't seem to get any easier however we will definitely be back next year for another big walk. New Zealand is such a beautiful place and we would love to come back and explore the South Island as we spent this trip travelling in the North Island.
Thank you Blake and Jonno - we had the best time!
. We will be back.......
