Anna, Peter, Hugh.........

Early March saw our good friend Anna enter hospital for a double hip replacement and not a second too soon as her mobility had decreased at a very rapid rate to the point where she was spending most of her time in a wheelchair. Anna’s friend Mary, an Aussie who lives in Canada, offered to come down and stay with Anna during her recovery. The op was extremely successful and Anna is now (it is about 8 weeks later that I finally put fingers to keyboard to update our blog!) moving around beautifully although still has regular physio etc. Mary and I had Anna out and about everyday immediately on her release from the hospital ensuring that she didn’t sieze up (very thoughtful of us!) and we had a wonderful time discovering more and more places here in Houston (particularly shops!) and the three of us had a great time. We visited the Glenwood Cemetery, the resting place of Howard Hughes, Gene Tierney and several other celebs – it is a very old cemetery with some beautiful trees that are hundreds of years old.

Sat 15th March
EDN’s CEO, Peter Hobart, was in town so we threw together a bbq near the pool in our apartment block with all the EDNer’s that were in town and had a great day.
