This is our first Halloween in the US - absolutely amazing!!! People decorate their homes to the extreme - we actually went out one night and drove around the streets with our eyes as wide as saucers - it was a bit scary so we made sure our doors were locked! The supermarket is filled with spooky cakes & cookies and just dripping with halloween lollies (or should I say 'sweets'!) and the shops are saturated with costumes for kids and adults. Today is for 'trick or treating' and last weekend the city came alive with Halloween parties. We are actually in Lafayette, Lousianna today staying in a hotel so unfortunately will miss all those little 'cherubs' knocking on our door (wonder who might eat all those goodies purchased just in case!)
