Hurricane Dean preferred the Mexican coast to the Texan coast so we are all raising our glasses with thanks - of course the glasses are filled with water as we seem to have copious amounts of it - bottles and bottles covering the floor of the spare room.
The best news is of course - the airports will be fully functional on Friday.
