is held annually at the Reliant Centre in Houston and ranks among the largest trade shows in the US. More than 2,000 companies from around the world participate in the exhibition including EDN. A lot of time and energy was expelled in the organising and manning of this booth which saw staff pulling together and ensuring the week was successful - thanks to Christiana, Chuck, Martha and Kenny. It was huge - like they say 'everything's bigger in Texas'On Thursday March 3rd we enjoyed an evening with a group called "Great People and Enlightening Conversations". What an amazing night. We met some really wonderful people and are catching up with them again this Friday night. The group's common interest is 'The Law of Attraction' and we discovered that quite of few of us had actually attended the conference with Esther & Jerry Hicks in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago. We met in a wonderful little place called "The Path of Tea" - where you can choose from over 100 tea varieties - they also have a sniffing bar where you can smell before you buy! It was a special place full of special people!
On Friday night John walked for 5 hours up in the forests of Hunstville State Park with a friend, Ken Johnson and discovered a really good circuit that offers a 50km or 50 mile challenge race later this year, one of which he will take up. In the meantime there is a Polish Pickle Event in June that we are going to walk - only 5 miles!

Saturday afternoon we drove to Old Town Spring - a town full of shops, restaurants and art galleries. Some of the buildings are over a hundred years old and you get the feeling of having stepped back in time. Apparently it is consistently voted one of the top attractions in Texas each year. A whole day is needed to walk around this old quaint town and browse through the many shops.....unfortunately time did not allow us to see everything so I guess we will just have to go back another day!

On Sunday we discovered the Glenwood Cemetery - the final resting place of Howard Hughes. An amazing cemetery - very green, beautiful trees, very large family plots - just reiterating that everying IS bigger in Texas! - and their extreme patriotism is evident even in the cemetery!

A 50km challenge around Hunstville State Park? That's cool!
PS I'm much fitter this year, and no knee problems (touching wood and crossing fingers and all that right now) so John will be pleased to know I've formed a team to do the 50km of the Trailblazer in October! With Jenny Lewis and a couple of mates.
I'm really enjoying reading your blog here... bit soppy though with all your singer love interests!
