I'm in Love!!!!!

May 12th finally arrived - our tickets for Ronan Tynan's concert were purchased way back in January and we have been excited ever since. I think we could actually be classed as Ronan "groupies". We have been fans since he was a member of 'The Irish Tenors', have read his very inspiring biography, own numerous CD's and DVD's and nearly everyday his music is being played somewhere in our house or car! Our seats were in the second row - we could just about reach out and touch him (be still my heart!!!) and at one stage during the concert he looked straight at John and asked where he was from. The concert was superb - Ronan's voice was amazing, his personality exceptionally easygoing and funny and we were spell bound for over 2 hours. After the concert he was in the foyer signing stuff and as we approached him he looked up, smiled and said "Here come my Aussie friends!" We had a chat and I commented on his amazing diamond ring (very Liberace!) and he took it off and handed it to me! Of course I had to give it back but not before I tried it on! He then asked us to come and stand next to him and have our photos taken for his website. He took my hand and gave me a kiss - I just melted! The rest of the night is a blurrrr...........

The concert was in the above Centre - the setting was perfect - probably held around 500 people - so quite small and intimate. We arrived in this beautiful Hummer limo - not! Looks impressive eh! It happened to be outside and we made the most of a photo opportunity!!!!!!! We met some lovely people at the concert - a couple from Baton Rouge in Louisianna and an ex FBI agent and her mother who live here in Houston - both of whom we've had email chats with since.

If you ever get the chance to see Ronan Tynan in concert make the most of it 'cos he is just wonderful - flawless in fact.
